2009 Savoy History Lecture, Reception and Dinner

Comm. Marco Grassi, Chairman of the Savoy Foundation Lecture Series has announced that the Seventh Annual Savoy History Lecture is confirmed for the evening of Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at 6:00 PM, at the Abigail Adams Smith Auditorium (Colonial Dames of America), 417 East 61st Street, between First and York Avenues.  It will be a joint event of the American Foundation of Savoy Orders with the St. George's Society of New York.

The topic - The House of Savoy, Thirteenth Century England and the Mediaeval European Community - will focus on the Savoy family's high level presence in England in the 13th and 14th centuries.  Oxford History Professor Dr. Christopher Tyerman, M.A., D.
