Dear Friend, Although the American Foundation of Savoy Orders' 2020 Ballo di Savoia Winter Charity Gala planned for December 12, 2020 at the Metropolitan Club has been canceled due to COVID-19, our charitable beneficiary, The New York Foundling's , continues to provide 5,000 fresh pasta dinners to homeless and motel children daily. Caterina’s Club, led by Chef Bruno Serato, a Savoy Cavaliere, has also kept helping families move from their cars and hotel rooms to apartments and changing their lives. |

Instead of the Metropolitan Ball gala, the American Foundation of Savoy Orders will raise funds online for Caterina’s Club through a virtual giving event beginning now and running through May 31, 2020.

Caterina's Club has made it its mission to not miss a single day of feeding the kids. Chef Bruno and the Caterina's Club staff are working daily with every program location to ensure kids can be fed a fresh pasta dinner, in keeping with the Savoy Foundation’s “Chivalry for Children’s Causes™” charitable mandate from HRH Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy. Please consider donating online now, perhaps in the amount you were planning to give or spend on gala tickets at the Notte di Savoia.

Because schools in Southern California are officially shut down, children are missing their daily lunches. The Boys and Girls Clubs where Caterina’s Club distributed dinners to children through after-school program have also been closed due to COVID-19. Chef Bruno continues offering fresh pasta for children and their families to take home at drive-throughs and walk-ups outside those location which are now shut. Since the COVID-19 lockdown, Caterina’s Club has hired two part-time drivers to assist withextra deliveries of dry pasta. They have already distributed dry pasta ranging from 100 lbs. to 1,000 lbs. to several after-school locations to get the children and their families access to food. Before the outbreak, Caterina’s Club was using 1,000 lbs. of pasta a week, and now they are up to about 5,000 lbs. a week! Let’s help them keep this up! On top of his super-human efforts, Chef Bruno has closed his Anaheim White House restaurant (including to-go orders), where the children’s pasta meals are cooked, in order to keep the area clean and sanitized. The financial impact has been massive, yet Caterina’s Club still feeds the kids daily! As you can see, Caterina's Club believes that no kid should go to bed hungry, no matter what the circumstances are: COVID-19 or not. They appreciate your support in their fight to provide for the most vulnerable in our communities. Please give now to Caterina’s Club through the American Savoy Foundation.
